- General Statement:
Myanmar is a country located in SouthEast Asia with a population of 54 million people. In 1989,
the military government had changed the country name from Burma to Myanmar to free the
country from the British colony/territory. Here are some things I believe are special about
Myanmar. First is Thingyan, second is clothing and third is places in Myanmar.
Series Of Explanatory Statement:
Thingyan is the Burmese New Year Festival that usually takes place in the
middle of April. It is a Buddhist water festival celebrated up to 4 to 5 days - the dates of the
festivals are calculated based on the Burmese calendar.
Burmese people wear a particular type of clothing. Men wear paso and women wear
longyi. Paso and longyi are plain fabric or crossed patterns worn around your waist and
running down to your feet.
When you go to Myanmar, there are lots of beautiful places to visit. For example, the most two
popular places. Bagan Temple and Shwedagon Pagoda. These places have the most engaging and
amazing view.
Conclusion:
Myanmar is very special to me and I am very proud of being Burmese. The celebrations, dances and
People are all very important to me and I am very thankful for my country/culture.
