Work On Writing 29/10/21
For todays writing task, I did would you rather. My two questions were "Would you rather go into the past and meet your ancestors or go into the future and meet your great-great grandchildren?" and "Would you rather have a pause button or rewind button for your life?" Here are my answers and reasoning.
Would you rather go into the past and meet your ancestors or go into the future and meet your great-great grandchildren?
Going back to speak with my ancestors would give me such a better perspective on where my family on both sides came from. But I would rather go into the future and meet my great-great grandchildren. I'm curious about which family traits and traditions have continued through generations. I would hope that they would know who I was and have something to remember me by.
Would you rather have a pause button or rewind button for your life?
I would rather have a rewind button. I consider past experiences, mistakes and regrets as learning moments which have made me who I am today but I would want to go back and relive the moments I was most happiest in. I could see where different alternative paths might have led.

Work On Writing 28/10/21
For today's work on writing, I chose to do - would you rather. My two questions were: "Would You Rather Be Really Good at Math or Really Good at Sports?" and "Would you rather know all the languages in the world or know how to play all of the instruments?". Here are my answers and explanation on why I chose them. Enjoy !
Would You Rather Be Really Good at Math or Really Good at Sports?
Although sports impacts on fitness and wellbeing, I would rather be really good at maths because I think maths would see you well into old age and if you were broke you could earn money working from home as an accountant.
Would you rather know all the languages in the world or know how to play all of the instruments?
Language without even thinking about it. Fluent in 7,000 languages, or mastering about 150 instruments? Knowing every single language would open me doors to many different cultures and countries. With the ability to speak every language, you could probably find a high-paying job in some industry or another.

Hopes & Dreams
Your hopes and dreams for your future are an important part of your story. Start now to record your goals and what you’d like to achieve. Your aims might change over the years, but that only makes them more interesting to read later on.
Extension Task 2 - I think because
This is my second extension task I have completed for literacy. My task was to share my opinion about the article "Senior Student Back To School In Auckland".
I Think Because
We are only allowed to see friends and family outside in groups of 10, yet students are able to go back to school to sit in a classroom of 30 people. The government is being too tough on students, and their mental health is not being considered at all. I think that students should learn from home for the safety of themselves and others.
I don’t see a point in going back to school when they know students had 8 weeks of no interpersonal education. It seems really wrong to prioritise exams over well-being. Shouldn’t have to be risking our own families' health and their sources of income for 14 days of school. It goes to show they’d rather put a grade before people’s mental and physical health.

Would you rather? - 27/10/21
For todays work on writing, I chose to do would you rather. My two questions were: "Would you rather be able to read lips or know sign language?" and "Would you rather be rich, lucky, or smart?". Here are my answers and explanation on why I chose them. Enjoy !
Would you rather be able to read lips or know sign language?
I would rather be able to sign language because it will develop a strong appreciation for deaf culture, and I can encourage understanding and acceptance of the language among others. It says that sign language leads to higher abstract and creative thinking, better problem-solving skills, greater flexibility, better listening skills, greater academic achievement, and much more. Also, 1 of the 3 official languages of New Zealand is NZSL ( New Zealand Sign Language ) so it would be great to have the ability to communicate that language and can be a great learning process.
Would you rather be rich, lucky, or smart?
I don’t want to depend too much on luck. Luck can only take you so far before you have to rely on yourself and it’s unclear how lucky we’re talking about. When you have a lot of money, it makes it easy to invest and make great benefits on those. You wouldn’t have to work any longer if you’re rich and just investing. Being smart is very vague, intelligence comes in many different forms. The smartest ones aren’t always the most successful ones either. The most clever and well-connected people are usually the most successful. So I think that being rich is the best option. My parents always tell me to focus on my education so when I grow up I can get a good job and make lots of money, but I wouldn’t need to do that if I’m already rich and can invest into making more.
