Room 10's Term 4 Assembly Reflection
On the 15th of November, Room 10 had their second assembly, when I was on stage, I felt nervous, I had goosebumps on my legs and arms, my heart was racing. When the bell rang, I felt anxious! Classes started coming one by one and I tried my best to think that no ones there but it was hard. I present four things during the assembly, sharing my chick and Buddha presentation, and showing my chick and Buddha art. I think what went well was my presentations. I showed confidence and tried my best! But, of course not everything can go well, I think that Room 10 can work on the spacing while we are dancing everyone was all over the place and it we were all bunched up like a pot of flowers. But, over all, I think our assembly was one of the best out of the whole school!

Plastics
Plastics
Have you ever wondered, where do plastics go when you throw them away? In this explanation writing,
we are going to learn all about plastics.
we are going to learn all about plastics.
Where do plastics go when you leave them lying around? Well, the plastics forms into little, tiny pieces
by the wind, sun and water which which you can only see under a microscope.
by the wind, sun and water which which you can only see under a microscope.
The waves carry the bits of plastic into the water and stays there for more than 500 years. Then,
The sea animals eat the plastics thinking they are planktons.
The water gets polluted and the animals starve on a full stomach. There are plastics in the fish which
ends up onto our plates.
Us humans eats the fishes and some of us ended up having cancer/asthma. Instead of selling corn,
they use bio plastic to make more plastic.

Dear Mr Herlihy,
I was wondering if Room 10 could have this opportunity to learn about a school of the other side
of New Zealand. I ask you to consider Room 10 using a video chat site called “Meet” to call our
amazing buddy class in Mangonui School.
of New Zealand. I ask you to consider Room 10 using a video chat site called “Meet” to call our
amazing buddy class in Mangonui School.
We promise that we will only call them about once a week only for an hour, not use inappropriate
language and will always be polite. We will talk about how it is like at eachother school and learn
new things from them, and if we ever do the wrong thing or make wrong choices, we will face the
consequences which is not being able to use our chromebook for a week.

Dear Madam,
I was wondering if Room 10 could use your clay oven to dry our clay
we made. Our topic was endangered animals and our teacher Miss
Chand asked us to choose a endangered animal and make it using clay!

Hello Te Ohu.
Hi Te Ohu! I am your buddy from Glen Taylor School. In Room 10, we have learnt about endangered animals and plastics! We are making clay and a diorama about the animals habitat. In Glen Taylor School we have something called Culture Festival. Culture Festival is something we do at our school where we dance up on stage in the group that we wanted to be in. What are you doing at your school?
